Duties: Responsible for the full life cycle of performance management for all Retail applications, including performance/capacity requirements gathering, test planning, LoadRunner test scripting with multiple protocolstest execution, performance analysis and tuning, and results reporting. Assess need for performance testing. Gather detailed performance requirements from various members of the project team (including business and technical contacts). Verify test requirements against current production metrics. Create test plan documents and distribute to project teams for signoff. Build C-based performance test scripts using LoadRunner. Load testing, stress testing, duration testing, and 18-month capacity testing. Coordinate capacity modeling exercises based on business projections. Analyze test results for compliance against requirements/preset service level agreements. Assist project teams with system tuning on the following platforms: J2EE, .NET, mainframe green screen, Citrix, web services, MQ etc. Provide sign-off (Pass/Fail notification) for production changes. Participate in Know Your Customer program. Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Engineering, IT or related field.



Minimum experience required: 3 years of experience in Performance/Capacity Analysis or related experience.



Skills required: Must have experience with Mercury/HP Software automated performance testing tools (including test scripting, test execution, results analysis, tuning/troubleshooting and reporting); knowledge of VOIP (Voice over IP) systems (testing or installation); experience with system administration (Wintel, Unix, and Mainframe systems); strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (including estimation, business analysis, requirements gathering, test verification/validation, statistical analysis, business/technical writing, and managing multiple projects concurrently).
