Job Description


 
·         Demonstrate flexibility and ability to meet deadlines and customer commitments.
·         Available 24x7 for IT incident support.
·         Consult and collaborate with business partners to define requirements, select service providers and assure successful delivery and operation.
·         Coordinate with data center and supplier contacts
·         Drive continuous improvement on current state operations, which includes policies, practices, documentation, metrics/scorecards, etc.
·         Domain leadership, through operational excellence, innovation and thought leadership.
·         Establish and maintain a good understanding of Bridgeline s business needs.
·         Lead and support IT hosting projects and relevant priorities.
·         Work with diverse, geographically distributed teams in order to deliver projects and maintain systems.
·         No direct people management responsibilities.
 
 
 
Technical Skills
·         Knowledge of IT enterprise architecture, including understanding of commercial infrastructure components for servers, storage and network.
·         Robust expertise with the Microsoft technology stack (i.e., Windows, IIS and SQL Server)
·         Robust experience with Windows / Linux Hosting infrastructure
·         Robust experience in Networking Equipment and common software  packages such as:
    • SQL Server Administration
    • Cisco Device Support
    • Big IP Load Balancer 
    • VMWare and other virtual technology solutions
    • Backup Devices
    • IPS Hardware and Software
    • Disk Drive Clustering
    • Hardware and Software Asset Management
·         Strong knowledge and experience with Data Centers and managed services providers.
·         Knowledge of Data Center design, standards, and experience working with facilities/site services.
·         Knowledgeable with regard to security audits associated with HIPAA, SOX and SAS 70/SSAE 16 requirements a plus.
 
General Skills
·         Strong customer-focused and results-oriented attitude.
·         Superior written and verbal communication skills.
·         Knowledge of IT service management concepts.
·         Strong project management skills including scope management, project trade-off, risk management and issue resolution.
 
Education and Experience
·         Bachelor's degree.
·         Experience with IT outsourcing and/or Data Center re-hosts a plus.
·         Operations Center (NOC, SOC) experience a plus.
·         Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience a plus.
·         5-7 years of experience with Data Centers and managed services providers.
