Job Description
Key Objective / Purpose of the Job: Design of Transmission Network, Testing & development of vendors/products to serve end-customer in a better & efficient way. To provide support to Operations and Service assurance on critical issues.
Major Activities:
v Designing Transmission network which includes, Preparing BOQ, Engineering document, DCN connectivity and Sync plan for transmission network.
v Working on Network Optimization Plans.
v Close interaction with NCP, OSP, Infra and project team while preparing the network plans.
v Evaluation and testing of New Equipments from vendors, Evaluation of New Products and Technologies, Proof of concept testing for new services.
v Vendor Selection, support and AMCs.
v Standardization of specifications required for additional / new features from product team.
v Keep Track of Inventory and preparing Utilization reports.
v Documentation control for network architecture and database.
v Setting up processes preparing the guidelines for optimization of resources.
v Support business case development team to determine all cost factors relating to network expansion and capacity upgrade.
v Support Solution Architects, Field operations and Service assurance team for critical issues.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
(UG - Diploma - Electronics/Telecomunication, B.Tech/B.E. - Electronics/Telecomunication) AND (PG - Any PG Course)
Essential Qualifications:* BE or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication.
Requisite Skills:
* Technical
* In-depth Ethernet technology.
* Well aware of NMS and EMS for Transmission Equipments.
* Well aware of DCN and synchronization for Transmission.
* Well aware of Transmission Test and Measurement equipments.
* Working experience on ADVA, Huawei, ECI and Tejas equipments knowledge of DWDM, CWDM, SDH, OTN, ASON and
* Well aware of ITU-T standards.
* Should be able to do the analysis of the performance reports.
Functional: * Transmission network design and planning experience in large scale carrier networks.
Behavioral:
* Should have good communication and writing skills.
* Should have Positive attitude
Work Experience: * 5-7 Years of experience in Telecommunication. Preferably in Planning.
